Wyrd Relic is a British folklore project exploring the objects, customs and protective beliefs carried through local traditions. Each piece begins with a documented relic, ritual or superstition, then considers what it might reveal about contemporary life.Rather than treating folklore as decorative mystery or established supernatural fact, Wyrd Relic places each belief in its cultural and geographical context. Hagstones, witch bottles, healing wells and other unusual objects become lenses through which to examine fear, memory, boundaries, belonging and uncertainty.
